1. In the app or on the website
- Open BrainPen Meet and sign in.
- Go to Settings > Profile and choose Delete account at the bottom.
- Read what will be deleted and confirm with your password, so nobody else can delete your account. If your account has no password, because you sign in with Google or Apple for example, type your e-mail address instead.
You are signed out on all your devices straight away. If you are the only owner of a workspace that other people also use, BrainPen Meet first asks you to make someone else owner or to delete the workspace. If you are the only person in a workspace, that workspace is deleted along with your account, after a 30-day cooling-off period.
2. Without the app
No longer have the app? Sign in at meet.brainpen.ai and follow the same steps in Settings > Profile.
Cannot sign in, not even with Forgot password? Then contact us through the contact page, from your account's e-mail address or with that address included. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to confirm the account is yours.
3. What we delete
- Your account: name, e-mail address, password and linked sign-in methods such as Google or Apple.
- Your preferences, such as language and display.
- Your sessions on all your devices and your notifications, so you are signed out everywhere and no longer receive notifications.
- Your personal notes, rules and skills for the assistant that you have not shared with anyone.
- A workspace where you are the only user, with all its conversations, documents and files, after a 30-day cooling-off period.
4. What your organisation keeps
If you use BrainPen Meet for an organisation, the conversations, reports, forms, tasks and documents you created for that organisation belong to the organisation. They stay in the workspace, so that a client file, for example, stays complete. The organisation decides how long they are kept.
The organisation's audit log keeps a record of who did what, with your name as it was at the time. That log cannot be altered, so the organisation can show what happened. If you want data removed from an organisation's conversation, please ask that organisation.
We only keep what the law requires us to keep, such as invoice records, for 7 years.
5. How long it takes
Your account and your personal data are deleted straight away. Copies in backups disappear when those backups are overwritten on our fixed schedule; until then we do not use them for anything.
A workspace that is being deleted can still be restored by us during the 30-day cooling-off period. After that, this is no longer possible.
